Adopt-a-Center Program is one way PAL strives to provide girls and
boys with more athletic and educational opportunities. Through grants,
gifts from individuals and corporate sponsorships, generous area foundations,
individuals and businesses "adopt" specific PAL centers.
The donated funds, ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 per center, enable
PAL to expand educational curriculums, improve sports, maintain existing
programs and facilities, and institute new activities for youth at
these sponsored sites.
Sponsors also benefit when they contribute to PAL's Adopt-a-Center
campaign. Employees from sponsoring organizations have the opportunity
to mentor youth, serve as literacy tutors, or help coach basketball
games and more. Sponsors also receive significant recognition and
publicity in print and on television for their charitable contributions.
In addition, each sponsor has the opportunity to present the Adopt-a-Center
donation in person to the Philadelphia Police Commissioner and many
grateful PAL girls and boys.
Thank you to the many Adopt-a-Center sponsors whose generous support
has been instrumental in supporting PAL's mission of "Cops
Helping Kids."
PAL center adoptions are renewed annually so one of the centers listed
as adopted may become available for you to adopt in the future.
If you are interested in adopting a PAL center please contact the
PAL Grants Coordinator listed above.
